JAY SULLIVAN, OWNER, PT, MPT, CMT, MLD/CDT
As the owner of Anchor Physical Therapy, Jay brings a diverse background in rehabilitation, specialized therapeutic techniques, and military healthcare experience to his practice. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh then furthered his education with a Physical Therapist degree from the University of Findlay in 2009. He has also continued to expand his clinical knowledge through extensive continuing education and specialized training.
His professional development includes over 25 years of clinical experience along with certification as a Massage Therapist, certification in Vodder Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Combined Decongestive Therapy. Jay has also pursued specialized education in Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, and a variety of orthopedic treatment techniques. His broad range of training allows him to incorporate multiple therapeutic approaches to address individual patient needs, improve mobility, and support recovery.
In addition to his clinical background, Jay proudly served in both the Air National Guard and the Navy Reserve. Throughout his distinguished 22-year military career, he served as a Public Health Specialist and Hospital Corpsman before retiring from military service. His military healthcare experience has contributed to his strong work ethic, attention to detail, leadership skills, and commitment to helping others.
As the owner of Anchor Physical Therapy, Jay is dedicated to maintaining a practice built on personalized treatment, clinical excellence, and compassionate patient care. His combination of specialized clinical training, extensive healthcare experience, and leadership allows him to guide his team in providing high-quality rehabilitation services. Jay takes pride in creating a welcoming environment where patients receive individualized attention and the support they need to achieve their rehabilitation goals.
MARY WARDROP, PTA, LMT, CLT
Mary Wardrop is an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant with over 20 years of experience in physical therapy. She earned her Associate of Science in Physical Therapy and Massage Therapy certification from the Community College of Allegheny County and is also a Licensed Massage Therapist.
Mary is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist with specialized training through the Vodder and Klose methods. She holds Advanced Proficiency in Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy and has additional training in Craniosacral Therapy. Her specialties include manual lymph drainage, lymphedema management, and massage therapy. In recognition of her dedication and contributions to the profession, Mary was honored as the 2022 Physical Therapist Assistant of the Year by APTA Pennsylvania.
Lisa Sullivan, PTA
Lisa brings a unique combination of clinical expertise, business management experience, and a strong commitment to patient care to her dual role at Anchor Physical Therapy.
She graduated from Butler County Community College in 1997 with an Associate Degree in Business Management and furthered her education by earning her Physical Therapist Assistant degree in 2014. During her professional development, Lisa participated in the Physical Therapist Assistant Mentoring Program and was a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
With over 12 years of clinical experience in both skilled rehabilitation and outpatient physical therapy settings, Lisa has developed a well-rounded understanding of patient care, rehabilitation services, and the importance of individualized treatment.
At Anchor Physical Therapy, Lisa serves in a dual capacity as Business Manager and Physical Therapist Assistant, combining her business education with her hands-on clinical experience. She plays an important role in overseeing daily business operations, supporting the clinical team, and helping ensure that patients receive efficient, compassionate, and high-quality care.
BRETT MIKINAC, PTA
Brett graduated from the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) Boyce Campus in 2012 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Physical Therapist Assistant studies.
With over 14 years of experience in the physical therapy field, Brett brings a diverse clinical background to Anchor Physical Therapy. Throughout his career, he has provided care in a variety of settings, including outpatient rehabilitation, home health, skilled nursing facilities, and correctional healthcare.
His extensive experience allows him to work with patients of varying ages, conditions, and rehabilitation needs. Brett is dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized care while helping each patient improve mobility, regain independence, and achieve their personal rehabilitation goals.
