Paula Lizak Gilchrist, DPM, CPT
- Dr. Gilchrist is a Licensed Physical Therapist and Podiatric Surgeon. She is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Physical Therapy and the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. She completed her residency in Podiatric Surgery at the Podiatry Hospital of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Gilchrist is a Past President of the American Academy of Pain Management (AAPM) and a Past Member of the Board of Directors of the Association. Dr. Gilchrist is a national lecturer in topics including reflex sympathetic dystrophy (CRPS), gait analysis, plantar fasciitis, and several others.
She has published several articles on
Plantar Fasciitis and Electro Acupuncture. She is a contributing author to a textbook in Pain Management. She has published a chapter on the Differential Diagnosis of Back Pain
as well as Lower Extremity Gait Analysis and has lectured and published nationally. She has been on the
Adjunct Faculty at the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Gilchrist holds diplomat status in several organizations including The American Board of Lower Extremity Surgery (ABLES), the American Academy of Pain Management (AAPM), and American Professional Wound Care Association. (APWCA).
APWCA is a non-profit medical association welcoming all medical specialties involved in the treating the various forms of non-healing wounds, including diabetic, vascular, ischemic, pressure ulcers, burns and cancer.
