Norman L. Johnson, PT, DPT, DED, MSS, MBA – Dr. Johnson graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy and a Master of Science degree in orthopedic physical therapy. He has earned doctoral degrees in Physical Therapy from Slippery Rock University and in Adult Education from the Pennsylvania State University. He has also completed a Master of Strategic Studies degree from the United States Army War College, a MBA degree from Waynesburg University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health Science from George Washington University and a Massage Therapy Certificate from the Community College of Allegheny County/Boyce Campus.
Dr. Johnson is a highly accomplished physical therapist, educator and veteran. He is a tenured professor at the Community College of Allegheny County/Boyce campus Physical Therapist Assistant and Massage Therapy Programs. He is the recipient of the 2007 F. A. Davis award for Outstanding Physical Therapist Assistant Educator and 2003 National institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) excellence Award for Teaching and Leadership Excellence. In June 2009, he was appointed by the Governor to serve as a member on the Pennsylvania State Board of Physical Therapy for a three year term.

He holds the rank of Captain in the United States Navy Reserve where he is a credentialed physical therapist. In March 2003, during Operations Nobel Eagle and Enduring Freedom he was recalled to serve on the physical therapy staff at Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA. He served a three year (2003-2006) appointment as Specialty Leader to the U.S. Navy Surgeon General for Healthcare Providers. He is a peer reviewer for Military Medicine for the fields of physical medicine, physical therapy, massage therapy and adult education.
